Let’s talk about one of the cheapest, most effective Disney park hacks we’ve ever used — and no, it’s not another TikTok trick involving ponchos and pocket fans.
It’s this:
Bring a shower curtain and some clothespins.
That’s it. That’s the hack.
Before you roll your eyes and scroll away, hear us out. Because at 3:00 PM, like a cursed tradition passed down from generations of soaked tourists before us, the Florida skies will open up. It won’t be a light drizzle. It’ll be a full-blown wall of sideways rain, thunder, and humidity that clings to your bones.
And when it hits, your stroller is toast.
Unless you’re prepared.
We park our stroller, toss the cheap shower curtain over it, and secure it with a few clothespins. Takes 30 seconds. Costs less than a Mickey pretzel. And when we come back? Everything’s dry.
No soggy plushes. No ruined autograph books. No drenched $79 spirit jerseys or waterlogged mouse ears. No toddler screaming because their bubble wand now smells like mildew.
Meanwhile, other families are scrambling to pull soggy merch from a collapsed stroller while trying to wedge themselves under an awning next to 14 strangers gliding against them like wet otters.
We’ve lived that life. We didn’t like it.
So now we bring the curtain. It's not cute. It’s not magical. But it works, and that’s more than you can say for most things at 3:00 PM in EPCOT.
Disney doesn’t give out awards for practicality — but if they did, we’d proudly accept ours in dry socks and smug silence.
Sure, your kid will forget meeting Mickey in 6 months.
But with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12, you’ll have proof they were once happy.
